Volunteer with DCYHC!!
Why Should I Volunteer?
- Lots of teens and young adults have been volunteering here for many years.
- If you need community service hours for school, you can get those here.
- The volunteer experience you get here can help you when you get a job later on.
- You’ll feel good about yourself for helping us out.
- Our staff cares a lot about teens and we think it’s great to have youth in the clinic helping out!
What Would I Be Doing If I Volunteered?
Here are some examples:
- We need clerical help such as filing, computer data entry, making copies, doing mailings, and making packets.
- You could become a part of our Youth Advisory Council and tell us how to make the health center better for you and your peers.
- Help get DCYHC linked up with things like Twitter and Facebook.
I'm Down To Be A Volunteer, How Do I Apply?
- If you are interested in clerical work, print and fill out this Volunteer Application. Mail or fax it to the DCYHC.
- We’ll call you and have you come in to meet with one of our staff.
- DCYHC is currently looking for volunteers to begin January 2012.
What is the commitment?
- We require a 4 month commitment and for each person to volunteer at least 4 hours per week during regular business hours.
