The following is a list of really common infections that only affect girls and women.
While some of these can be triggered by sex, they are *not* sexually transmitted, and can happen even if you’re not sexually active.

NOTE: Sometimes the symptoms of these will go away with time, but it doesn’t mean that the infections are gone. If you leave some of these untreated, they could cause further health complications.
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
UTIs are most often infections of the bladder.

Yeast infections are when the yeast that always live in your vagina start to multiply at a higher rate than normal.

BV is an infection that occurs when the normal balance in your vagina is thrown out of whack and a certain type of bacteria that normally lives in the vagina starts to multiply at a higher rate than usual.
