1. What are drugs?

Chemicals that can change the way your body works, alter your mood, perception and behavior.

2. Why do people use drugs?

Because friends or family use them and they want to fit in, to forget problems, relieve stress or just out of curiosity.

3. How can drugs hurt you?

They may damage your body and brain, make you sick or even kill you. They make it hard to learn, to concentrate, make you feel unhappy, lose coordination and not think clearly.

4. What is addiction?

When a person’s body builds up tolerance, and needs more and more of the drug to get the same feeling. The body and brain must have the drug and without it the person goes into withdrawal and gets extremely ill.
