The Daly City Youth Health Center
is dedicated to improving teen health and well-being. The Center has over
18 years experience in providing teen-friendly services to youth and is the
only provider of healthcare services in Northern San Mateo County exclusively
dedicated to serving youth and young adults. The DCYHC is a collaborative
project of the Jefferson Union High School District and the San Mateo Medical
Center.
DCYHC's providers are specialized in their work, easy to talk with, respectful
of teens, non-judgemental and make teens feel comfortable. Our health center
is located off-campus in the heart of Daly City, and is accessible to all
teens.
Staff recognizes the unique and critical healthcare needs that teens have.
Teens assume greater responsibility for their own health care than younger
children.
Teens understand the importance of health care and the need to access health
services.
Teens often make independent decisions about their health care.
Teens are concerned about confidentiality especially when receiving sensitive
services such as pregnancy testing, birth control counseling, and testing
and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
